Delayed Cactus

Oops! My computer crapped it's pants and died. I lost like 3 days of work on the Cactus Patch game!! I have a new setup working now, but it will be a little bit longer before the Cactus Patch is fully released! I apologize for the delay :0

Onto some other stuff:

Pikmin 4!! Holy cow, I love collecting little trinkets. It's so rewarding to go around, commanding these lil guys, and finding a frikken Gameboy Advanced or something silly. Really cute game, and rewarding exploration, as to be expected from Nintendo.

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk: Impeccable style. I don't know if there's a game with a better title screen than this. BRCF comes out swingin' and never seems to stop giving us new flavors of hip-hop, dance, techno, DNB, and Cel-Shaded perfection. To be honest, I didn't expect to love it as much as I do. I came from being a massive THPS fan, with faster, more deep combos in that gameplay that just didn't carry over to this game, or is spiritual predecessors, Jet Set Radio + Future. When I played those games in the past, I never got its mechanics, but with BRCF, it finally clicked. It makes me want to go and check out the older games to see if I can hang on longer than 2 levels lol. If you're like me, I'd recommend thinking about these games less like a high-combo trick attack type game, and more of a free-flowing, Super-Mario 64 like 3D-Platformer where you move on Skateboards, Rollerblades, and Bikes, just to move around. It's not a simulation of those sports, just using them as vehicles for platforming. Really fun once you get on it's level!

Coming out this Friday (tomorrow!!) is Armored Core VI. I'm buying this Day-one on the fact that this is being made by FromSoftware. The current day GOATs of action games. I played a little bit of the original AC on PSX, and I really enjoyed it, even for having a crazy control scheme, it worked. This game's getting good reviews and I'm really excited to just sink my teeth into it.

That's all I got for now, but tell me what you've been playing down below! Anything fun I should check out?

Cactus

Howdy, hope you're all doing well. I've been busy the last couple of days working on, what I hope to be my first video game! I've taken some new advice, and strategies to heart and I'm starting from scratch with a clear, and manageable goal.

Around the start of this year, I was working on a different game, in the program RPG Maker. It was going pretty well, but I think the overall scope of that project was wayyyyy too big. I've taken it's premise and put it off to the side. I am however, using some of it's assets as they are pretty solid and fit the vibe! So you have an idea of what it looks like, I will share the game's title screen:

In the Cactus Patch, the player must go on a short journey for a mysterious Totem found in the Desert. I hope you look forward to playing it soon!

That's all I got for now, but thanks for checkin in! Talk soon :)
